Voting: National or Labour?

Hi there blogging world, for week nine we learnt about voting. We learnt about how to vote. This Saturday most of your parents will be voting .  Will they vote for  Labour, National or  another party.

This is how you vote: To vote you first have to enrol online or  call the Electoral Commission. After you have enrolled you should get an information pack in the mail. First we had to find out what electorate we were in. You can find it on elections.org.nz.  For your parents to vote they don't need to find their electorate  because it will already be there when they enrol. For your parents to vote they must find the voting booth nearest to them. We had to do the same except our voting booth was in the classroom because we set up a fake one. We had to say our first and last name and our electorate and address. Then the people behind the desk crossed our name out and gave us the voting paper for our electorate. There are two parts to the voting paper there is a party and a MP (member of parliament) If you vote for National it does not  mean you have to vote for the MP that belongs to National. Voting is very fun. Since I am not old enough to vote, our votes will be included into a survey for the gouverment.
